worst cut ever

I was simply ducking down to walk underneath of my tanker trailer and I caught my head on a sharp piece of metal holding a turn signal on.

I didn’t think it was too bad at first. didn’t really hurt. couldn’t tell how big the wound was. when I stood up and blood was just gushing out, forming a puddle in my hand… I knew there was a problem.

The representative at the customer asked if I was all right… lol. I replied very calmly… “no…no… I don’t think so”

he said, “Ill go get a first aid kit”

I sat down on the pavement to steady my breath and control the blood flow. Don’t even remember getting dizzy because I passed out without any notice.

When I came to, I was looking up into a bunch of faces and my head was on some amazing woman’s knee. She was holding a wet towel to my head and praying to Jesus. she said, “I’m not letting go until the ambulance gets here.”

The ambulance arrived very quickly and rushed me to the closest Nashville hospital. They did CT scan to make sure my skull and brains were ok. I kept asking for water because I was thirsty. They would not give me any in case I needed brain surgery.

When I the nurse finally walked in with a cup a water for me I breathed a sigh of relief because I knew they decided I did not need surgery. They placed sixteen stitches in my head and sent me on my way.

They didn’t have a bandage big enough so they left my stitches free for the world to see. So, I grossed everyone out at the Chinese restaurant and book store that evening when my stitches were leaking blood streams down my head without my knowledge.
