I recently made a post on Facebook where I requested my friends to write “Charles is” and then press the word suggestion button on the app as many times as they liked. The narratives that ensued were fascinating and hilarious. Some of the words generated are based on literary algorithms but some are based on people’s typing habits.
I find it very interesting and synchronistic that the series of word suggestions from both of my polyamorous lady interests were exactly the same.

Well isn’t that quite flattering?!?! None of the other umpteen friends who responded to this post had this word selection. Only the two women in my life who have open marriages. I am quite pleased.
I find that I am most comfortable dating women in an open marriage. I think it is largely because their needs for a nesting partner are fulfilled so they don’t desire nesting from me. I consider myself solo-polyamorous because I greatly value my autonomy and solitude. While my girlfriends are preoccupied with their husbands I am free to work on my projects without worrying that their emotional needs are met or that they feel neglected. I have not yet dated a solo-poly woman but I imagine that would be quite nice. We would both be on the same page with relationship ideology.
It is no fun when I date a woman who claims to be ok with my polyamory but deep down wants monogamy. It winds up coming through and creates an unhealthy dynamic
